The Geriatric Exercise Resource Library is an exercise plan program designed for use by occupational or physical therapists. The library contains 457 professionally illustrated exercises and 31 tip sheets, which the therapist can use to create individualized exercise plans for seniors. Exercise categories include Orthopedic (neck, hand, wrist, elbow, back, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, foot, thoracic); Mobility (sitting, balance, gait, sitting to standing); Health Promotion (circulation, flexibility, posture, breathing, strength building); and Special Conditions (osteoporosis, arthritis, Parkinson's, lower extremity amputee, stroke). Topics of reproducible tip sheets include bed mobility, progressive neuromuscular relaxation, back care, foot care, lower extremity amputee, osteoporosis, arthritis, stroke pointers, Parkinson's, wheelchair to tub/bed/toilet/car transfer, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and gait/ balance tips. The library is available either as a set of reproducible cards or as an exercise database for use with PC-Kits software (not included). In the computer database version, all exercises are drawn in both male and female figures, with English, Spanish and French captions included.
